Role overview
The Project Manager will take ownership of projects after the sale is closed and guide them through to final completion. This includes coordinating the right people and resources, managing budgets, and tracking delivery against agreed outcomes.
Technical and operations responsibilities
- Track live project progress, including milestones, schedules, and any risks or delays that could affect delivery.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, keep records current, and ensure all required paperwork is finished on time.
- Regularly visit project sites to review work, confirm safety compliance, and coordinate with on-site teams on project-specific issues.
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep execution running smoothly.
- Encourage clear communication and strong collaboration across the team so project goals are met efficiently.
- Control project budgets and resource use, and coordinate with Finance to manage expenses within approved limits.
- Spot project risks early and put practical mitigation plans in place.
- Prepare and share regular progress updates and reports for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Look for ways to improve project management processes and apply best practices to strengthen efficiency and quality.
Talent development responsibilities
- Guide and support team members while promoting accountability, empowerment, and ownership.
- Build team capability and help establish a reliable succession pipeline.
- Carry out regular performance reviews, identify learning needs, and follow up on development plans.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required. The role calls for at least 7 years of relevant experience.
