Role overview
This 12-month temporary position is based in Shannon, County Clare, and offers an hourly rate of €18.24 to €20.22 depending on experience. The Customs Analyst will report to the Global Trade and Customs Site Lead and support a range of customs compliance activities in a busy, collaborative setting.
Key responsibilities
- Help manage HTS classification work for both incoming and outgoing goods.
- Prepare and share import clearance instructions with agents handling goods entering the country.
- Support freight forwarders with import and export-related queries and tasks.
- Work with internal teams and outside agencies to close customs compliance gaps.
- Assist with internal metrics and reporting activities.
- Keep records accurate, traceable, and ready for audit while meeting reporting deadlines.
- Contribute to the detection and disclosure of possible compliance breaches.
- Support internal and external audits, including site visits when required.
- Carry out other customs or global trade duties as assigned.
- Step into a delegate or deputy role when needed.
- Make sure work follows current import and export laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Follow requirements set by internal functions such as EH&S, E&C, CORE, and similar teams.
Required skills and experience
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Good IT capability, with hands-on knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and outside partners.
- Strong attention to detail for compliance and documentation work.
