Role overview
Tesco is looking for Customer Delivery Drivers in Clonmel to act as the face of the business for home delivery customers. This is a practical, active role with plenty of variation, and each shift can bring a different set of customer needs. While you will largely work independently on your route, support from managers and teammates is available from the store base whenever needed.
Shift arrangements vary, and both part-time and full-time contracts are available.

- Present yourself in uniform and be ready to assist customers professionally.
- Drive in a careful, lawful, and responsible manner at all times.
- Show courtesy to other road users.
- Greet customers warmly, including by name where appropriate, and deliver service with a friendly attitude.
- Handle each delivery with the same care you would expect for your own items.
What you need to bring
- A full Irish or EU driving licence, either manual or automatic, held for at least 2 years.
- No more than 3 penalty points on your licence.
- A strong commitment to safe and courteous driving.
- A genuine enjoyment of helping people.
- A friendly personality, good humour, and strong communication skills.
- The confidence to take initiative and use common sense.
- A customer-first mindset and a willingness to make a positive difference for colleagues and shoppers.
- The ability to remain composed when things get busy or pressured.
Hiring checks and conditions
All offers are subject to Garda Vetting. At assessment stage, you must provide proof of your current penalty points, which can be obtained from the National Driver Licence Services (NDLS) by calling 1890 41 61 41, choosing Option 4, and quoting your driver number.
Applications cannot be accepted from anyone who has been disqualified from driving within the last 10 years.
If successful, you will also need to provide bank account details before your agreed start date, and the offer remains conditional on that requirement being met.
