As a Customer Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the customer accounts function and supporting the store’s success through collections, lease renewals, and customer relationship management. The role also involves working closely with the General Manager and taking on a broad range of store duties as needed.
Compensation
The pay for this position is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, with additional incentive pay available based on performance.
Key responsibilities
You will help keep customer accounts accurate and current, support payment tracking, and work to improve collections and renewal outcomes. The role also includes customer outreach, account reviews, merchandise handling, and operational support.
What the work involves
- Keep customer account records accurate and up to date in the store system, including payment appointments and account details.
- Support the General Manager with account-related operations such as payment patterns, recommendations, and history reviews.
- Act as the second-in-command to the General Manager.
- Develop genuine relationships with customers to support ownership goals and sales growth.
- Manage collections by working with customers on timely lease or merchandise renewals.
- Review and finalize lease agreements, including identity checks, payment collection, and obtaining signatures.
- Reach out to customers whose merchandise agreements have not been renewed.
- Maintain customer contact through phone calls and home visits.
- Update customer information and ensure records remain accurate.
- Lead the accounts team toward daily, weekly, and monthly department goals.
- Clean and certify returned merchandise in the cleaning station.
- Maintain weekly vehicle maintenance records and complete route sheets daily.
- Load, secure, and protect products in the company vehicle.
- Operate the company vehicle safely.
- Support the Sales Team when needed.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Applicants in Canada must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver’s license is required in applicable locations, along with compliance with the company’s driver qualification standards and a satisfactory driving record where relevant.
- Must meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required U.S. states.
- Availability to work hours that may vary between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 300 lbs with a dolly.
- Two years of college education or two years of prior management experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- High energy with the ability to manage multiple tasks across store functions.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Ability to represent the brand well and protect company assets.
- Professional appearance.
- Good computer skills.
