Role overview
As a Cleaner with Lidl GB in Birmingham, you’ll play a key part in keeping the store clean, presentable, and welcoming for customers and colleagues. This position focuses on maintaining high hygiene standards across the shop floor and surrounding areas, with a practical, hands-on approach and pride in doing the job well.
The contract is for 16-30+ hours per week. Pay is £13.45 to £13.65 per hour, with additional pay of £2.00 per hour for bank holiday work and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. Benefits include 30-35 days of holiday on a pro rata basis, a 10% in-store discount, and a pension scheme.
What you will do
- Keep the store in excellent condition through regular and thorough cleaning.
- Ensure trolley bays, the car park, and outdoor areas remain tidy and well maintained.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment with confidence.
- Clean welfare facilities, including toilets, waste handling areas, and recycling spaces.
- Handle small maintenance jobs when required.
- Work proactively to maintain hygiene, health, and safety expectations.
