Role Overview
This position is responsible for keeping assigned spaces clean, sanitized, and well maintained in line with established methods and the quality and safety standards of both the company and the client. The work may involve regular interaction with the client.
Key Duties
- Clear, wash, and wipe down waste containers, then transport trash and paper waste to the appropriate disposal locations.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, sweep or dust-mop hard flooring, and clean spills or damp-mop as needed in offices, lobbies, hallways, stairways, and shared spaces.
- Dust and wipe office furnishings, filing cabinets, fixtures, wall paneling, window ledges, air vents, wall grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
- Remove fingerprints and marks from doors, frames, switches, glass entry areas, and partitions.
- Maintain the janitor’s closet in a tidy, organized condition.
- Carry out other tasks and assignments as directed or as business needs change.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Good problem-solving capability.
- Effective time management skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of custodial or cleaning experience is preferred, or an equivalent background.

This role is for the first shift and is based in Ashburn, Virginia. The job is onsite and full time.
