About the Role

Allstate is seeking a Claims Resolution Adjuster to investigate automobile accidents involving bodily injury and manage claims from a remote home-based setup. In this position, you will review coverage, liability, and damages, while maintaining a high standard of customer care through phone, email, text, and at times video communication. You will also use internal tools and negotiation methods to help drive fair injury settlements.

The role centers on liability investigation and making final claim decisions, including identifying injured parties who may not be named at first notice of loss and spotting risk factors that could affect claim outcomes. You will also support claimants through the vehicle restoration process and contribute feedback to improve the auto claims process. This position works closely with Casualty Adjusters throughout the claims journey.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a fully remote role for candidates living in the United States in the Eastern or Central time zones only. Applicants based in California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico are not eligible for this position. The schedule is an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a possible Saturday rotation.

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will operate in multiple capacities throughout the day, including customer support, investigation, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and documentation. You are expected to approach each claim with empathy, clarify policy coverage through careful review, communicate updates in the customer’s preferred channel, and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants in line with legal and business standards. You will also use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to work efficiently in a fast-moving environment.

Accurate claim notes and timely recordkeeping are essential, as is protecting the company’s financial interests by applying policy agreements correctly. Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential part of this job. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 2 years of claims experience, with a background in casualty bodily injury claims. Experience in claims investigation and negotiation is preferred. Additional value will come from familiarity with liability investigations, coverage analysis, property damage coverage, set MOI, rental handling, and liability resolution. Strong phone-based communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are important for success in this role.

Remote Work Requirements

Because this is a home-based role, you will need a private, distraction-free workspace in your residence, along with proper desk space and seating. A reliable internet connection is required with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Equipment and Support

Allstate provides the technology needed to perform the job from home, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Eligible employees also receive a connectivity reimbursement of $80 per month to help offset internet expenses.

Licensing Requirement

Depending on the office or area, employment may require an adjuster and/or appraiser license. If so, an additional background check with the Department of Labor may be required, and any needed license(s) must be obtained within 60 days of hire. The hiring manager and centralized licensing team will assist with the licensing process when applicable.

Sign-On Bonus

You may qualify for a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus if you already hold the required active licenses for this role. Eligible licenses may include a Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designate Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or an applicable Appraiser License.
