Batcher - Concrete

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Concrete Batcher based in Orange, reporting to the Production Manager. The role is centred on making sure production targets are met while keeping manufacturing costs under control and delivering to customer expectations. There may also be occasions where you are asked to operate a front-end loader, and training can be provided for that task.

The position calls for a strong customer-first mindset, the ability to organise and prioritise competing tasks, and a consistent focus on safe work practices.

Key duties

• Prepare orders accurately according to the required mix specifications.
• Handle the routine administration duties needed to keep the concrete batch plant running smoothly.
• Produce the correct concrete mix and coordinate truck allocation so deliveries and plant operations run efficiently.
• Carry out general yard and plant cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance, including safe use of a front-end loader.
• Operate concrete agitator trucks when needed.

Skills and experience

• Strong dedication to safety, environmental responsibility, and customer service.
• A current HR licence is an advantage, though not mandatory.
• Front-end loader accreditation is preferred, and training may be arranged if required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, plus solid computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Batching or concrete industry experience is useful, but not essential.
• A cooperative attitude and commitment suited to a high-energy team environment.
