Backend Engineer (Go)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong ownership and a hands-on approach to building dependable software. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, improve, and operate scalable backend services across the platform. You should be curious, proactive, and comfortable working closely with cross-functional partners to solve complex engineering problems and strengthen the overall technical foundation.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver secure, dependable, and scalable backend systems.
• Take responsibility for features from design through deployment, with attention to long-term maintainability and performance.
• Join architecture conversations and contribute practical technical recommendations.
• Improve older codebases by simplifying structure and increasing efficiency without disrupting existing functionality.
• Support production stability through incident handling, root cause analysis, and better observability.
• Produce code that is easy to understand, test, and maintain, with strong emphasis on documentation and automation.
• Take part in code reviews and technical discussions to raise engineering quality.
• Promote best practices and a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to align goals and execution.
• Help estimate work for new features and infrastructure initiatives.
• Look for ways to reduce technical debt and improve developer workflows.

What we're looking for

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of production experience working with Go (Golang).
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Comfort using Git and CI/CD tools in team-based development.
• Working familiarity with frontend technologies, especially React and/or Next.js.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments, preferably GCP.
• Experience building secure, scalable Login-as-a-Service solutions is a plus.
• Deep understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and session/token handling is an advantage.
• Experience with social login, SSO, and federated identity is desirable.
• Background in designing multi-tenant identity systems with isolation and configurable behavior is a plus.
• Ability to create developer-friendly APIs, SDKs, and integration documentation is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills for both technical and non-technical discussions are preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000 per year.
