About the role
CHANEL is hiring an Assistant Manager to act as both a brand representative and a business driver. In this role, you will help create exceptional experiences for clients and internal teams, lead and develop a varied sales team, and partner closely with the Boutique Director by sharing key business insights. You will take full responsibility for growing and managing the business across the Fragrance & Beauty, Eyewear, and Other Accessories categories.
Key responsibilities
- Spend time on the sales floor coaching and motivating the team to consistently deliver a refined client experience.
- Build a healthy team culture rooted in feedback, mutual respect, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Provide strong onboarding, ongoing coaching, and development across product knowledge, CHANEL savoir faire, and service standards.
- Own the performance of the assigned product categories through analysis, reporting, assortment planning, and coordination with the Home Office buying team.
- Lead the category with adaptability and persistence, using performance data and lessons learned to improve results.
- Grow CHANEL’s presence in the market through community engagement, partnerships with local premium businesses, and social and seasonal events.

Position logistics
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- The role requires the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
- A flexible schedule is needed, including late evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- This is an in-store boutique management position focused on coaching teams, maintaining boutique image and operational standards, and delivering strong client service to support business results.
- CHANEL may adjust title designations or make exceptions when circumstances warrant.
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position is between $70,200 and $110,000 per year. Base pay is only one part of total compensation, and additional variable pay may be included. Other elements can also include a bonus opportunity, benefits, and/or perks.
