Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Assistant Manager position in Kumasi is focused on keeping daily operations running smoothly. The role supports team coordination, helps ensure targets and deadlines are achieved, and assists with the handling of inventory or other resources when required. It also includes monitoring workflow, preparing simple reports, reinforcing company policies, and sharing operational feedback with senior leadership.
Key Duties
- Oversee staff schedules and help organize day-to-day activities.
- Track workflow to make sure work progresses efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Support inventory or resource control when operational needs require it.
- Help put company policies into practice across the team.
- Prepare straightforward reports for management review.
- Escalate operational concerns and performance observations to senior management.
- Maintain customer service standards and assist in resolving routine issues.
- Contribute to a workplace that is safe, efficient, and inclusive.
Qualifications
- Strong planning and time management skills for handling multiple operational priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, work with teams, and support staff performance.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal judgment.
- Working knowledge of common office tools such as spreadsheets, email, and word processing.
- Good problem-solving ability, sound decision-making, and close attention to detail.
- Comfort working on-site in Kumasi on a full-time basis and adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Experience in supervision, coordination, or assistant management is desirable but not required.
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Management, or a similar discipline is an added advantage.
