Role overview
This position is responsible for overseeing target-setting activities for the Affluent Banking segment across all regions, monitoring ongoing performance, carrying out variance reviews, and coordinating the support functions that keep the segment operating effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Apply approved department policies, procedures, and operating instructions, while ensuring the team follows them consistently and the work remains tightly controlled.
- Oversee the daily operations of Affluent Banking centres and lounges to make sure service delivery stays aligned with the required standards.
- Review the performance of Affluent Banking Team Leaders and track how Affluent Banking Managers and Officers are performing across branches.
- Study performance gaps, identify differences versus plan, and suggest corrective actions whenever target assumptions need to be updated.
- Spot underperforming employees and make sure improvement plans are put into action to raise performance levels.
- Monitor and manage the effectiveness of Affluent campaigns.
- Supervise the Affluent operating model and ensure it is working as intended.
- Carry out research, observation, and trend analysis to build a strong understanding of customer needs, behaviours, and target-setting inputs.
- Handle NPS and Mystery Shopper activities.
- Oversee portfolio and prospectus management activities.
- Measure how well campaigns are performing and whether they are delivering the intended impact.
- Coordinate and supervise work streams so tasks are completed efficiently and in line with procedures.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying better ways of working, including best-practice adoption, process enhancements, cost reduction, and productivity gains.
- Work with Retail Finance, Sales, and Performance Management teams on quarterly target-setting exercises and scorecard distribution for the Affluent segment.
- Prepare departmental reports accurately and on time in line with bank and department standards, policies, and expectations.
- Represent the function in internal and external committees or meetings, as permitted by authority levels, to ensure issues are handled promptly and effectively.
- Ensure employees have clear goals, receive regular feedback, complete formal annual reviews, and have individual development plans, with special focus on developing high-potential Saudi talent.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental controls to maintain a healthy and secure workplace.
- Perform other job-related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business is required, ideally with a focus on MIS, Analysis and Statistics, Economics, or Accounting.
The role calls for more than 10 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 5 years in progressively more senior managerial roles.
English proficiency at a good level is expected.
