Role overview
We are hiring a Van Driver to support a busy logistics operation in Bristol. The position involves moving stock between distribution centres, third-party suppliers, and retail locations in an efficient and economical way.
Location
PLOT 3000, Western Approach Distribution Park, Severn Beach, Bristol, BS35 4GG.
Working pattern
Day shifts are available, working any 5 days out of 7.
Pay and compensation
The hourly rate is £13.35, with a bonus scheme, benefits, and an additional 11% uplift on the hourly pay.
What the job involves
You will be expected to carry out daily vehicle checks, keep the van clean and presentable, and make sure the load remains secure to reduce the risk of damage or theft involving customer and company property. You will also work closely with the wider transport team, keep the office updated on delays, complete the required paperwork, and take on other duties when needed.
Requirements
This role calls for a driver with no more than 6 points on their licence, good computer skills, and a strong customer service approach with a confident telephone manner.
