Role overview
This position reports to the Senior Putter Representative and focuses on managing putter operations across global tour players. The specialist will build trusted relationships throughout TaylorMade’s tour ecosystem, with particular attention to elite men’s and women’s players. The job is centered on increasing TaylorMade putter usage through ongoing engagement, premium service, and strategic support for leading professional and amateur golfers worldwide. It is a high-visibility role that combines player relationship management, product advocacy, and category expansion across global tour and sports marketing activity.
Key responsibilities
- Boost the number of TaylorMade clubs, especially putters, used on Tour and across influential ambassadors by carrying out leadership’s strategies.
- Create strong, productive connections with top Team TaylorMade players on the PGA Tour and other major tours by earning trust and becoming a recognized fitting and product expert.
- Identify players who may be good candidates for TaylorMade putters or other equipment, then work with them to recommend and place the right products in play.
- Partner closely with the manager to support category goals, broaden exposure for the putter line, and help grow the business.
- Share timely and relevant updates with leadership and teammates about players, TaylorMade equipment, competitor products, programs, and related matters.
- Represent the company professionally and at a high standard in all interactions with players, families, agents, and coaches.
- Take on additional related duties as needed.
Skills and knowledge
- Deep familiarity with TaylorMade products and their technical features.
- Advanced golf ability at competitive amateur or professional level, including understanding of swing mechanics and player development.
- Awareness of competing products and the ability to assess their performance.
- Insight into player profiles and the equipment needs of different golfers.
- Working knowledge of the amateur golf environment.
- Excellent relationship-building, listening, and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Professional demeanor, polished presentation, and a strong customer service approach.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
Experience and education
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the golf industry, including a minimum of 4 years working directly with golf professionals and top amateurs.
- At least 5 years of experience in club building and fitting.
Work environment and physical demands
- Work is primarily outdoors on golf courses and may involve exposure to harsh weather conditions.
- Travel is expected 70–80% of the time, totaling more than 220 days per year.
- A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- The role involves frequent lifting or moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and benefits
The anticipated annual base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $100,000, depending on factors such as scope of responsibility, relevant knowledge, education, skills, experience, and job location. Additional rewards may include health and wellness coverage, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, and paid time off, subject to company plans.
