Beyond Academics is creating a child-growth platform designed to help families, mentors, and schools understand a child as more than grades or test scores. The vision is to support areas that often shape learning and development, such as confidence, communication, focus, motivation, self-awareness, and the ability to express thoughts and feelings. The platform aims to provide clearer understanding, tailored support, and practical next steps beyond academic comparison.

The company is seeking a Technical Co-Founder & Founding CTO who wants to build the product from the very beginning, own the technical direction, and grow with the mission for the long term. This is intended as a true cofounder-level commitment, not a short-term freelance assignment or a title-only position.

Role Overview

As the founding technical leader, you will guide the technology strategy from the MVP stage through future scale. You will work closely with the founder to shape the roadmap, convert early ideas into usable products, and create the first version of the platform for parents, mentors, child-growth tracking, reporting, and internal operations.

What You Will Build And Lead

• Set the technical direction for the product as it moves from an early MVP to a scalable platform.
• Collaborate with the founder to define and refine the product roadmap.
• Translate user needs, workflows, and rough concepts into simple and effective software features.
• Develop the initial platform modules for parents, mentors, child development tracking, reporting, and internal tools.
• Choose practical solutions for architecture, technology stack, data handling, privacy, AI use, and future scalability.
• Identify responsible applications of AI for personalization, reflection, planning, reporting, and parent insights.
• Create the technical base for future school partnerships, mentor systems, child profiles, progress tracking, and dashboards.
• Grow into a technical leadership role and help build the engineering team over time.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong ability in full-stack development, combined with real product thinking.
• Comfort working in an early-stage setting where priorities and details may still be evolving.
• Ability to turn abstract ideas into clear, practical, and well-designed software.
• Hands-on experience with modern web apps, dashboards, SaaS products, data systems, or AI integrations.
• A careful approach to privacy, trust, and responsible technology use, especially in products involving children and families.
• Clear communication, visible progress, and dependable ownership without constant follow-up.
• Willingness to challenge assumptions constructively and help decide what should be built now, later, or not built at all.
