Role Overview
This full-time store supervisor position is focused on helping customers find complete solutions across technology, services, furniture, and print. The role is centered on building strong customer relationships quickly, earning trust, and becoming a dependable advisor for technology products, services, and print needs. A successful supervisor should show genuine enthusiasm for the brand and the full product and service range, use proven selling methods to proactively engage shoppers, and help create a customer-first environment. The position also supports local community connection and contributes to a work culture that reflects the company’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous.
In addition, this role includes training associates on technology products, selling approaches, add-on opportunities, services, and sales growth techniques. The schedule must be flexible to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Full-time supervisors must also be prepared to handle external key carrier duties such as opening and closing the store.
This position is important to store performance by encouraging strong selling, excellent service, operational discipline, and team development. Candidates should also be prepared to complete periodic comprehensive background checks through a third party, if required for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Build customer trust, loyalty, and consistently strong service experiences.
- Use the selling process to recommend the best solution and relevant additional products or services, while staying current on promotions and advertisements.
- Guide customers by explaining products and services clearly and helping them understand their options.
- Use store communication tools effectively to request help on the sales floor and coordinate service and engagement across the store.
- Assess customer needs and identify the most suitable complete solution.
- Provide direction, coaching, and ongoing training to store associates, including print services staff.
- Run training sessions on the business model and the full service offering for customers and clients.
- Observe team members, offer feedback, and coach performance to strengthen skills and build trust and loyalty.
- Share performance, certification, and competency feedback with the General Manager.
- Handle additional duties as needed to support store operations.
- Process merchandise accurately and efficiently while following procedures, deadlines, and visual presentation standards.
- Identify process gaps and put improvement plans in place to reduce waste and inefficiency.
- Support loss prevention compliance and help maintain store controls.
- Assist the General Manager in coaching associates to improve results.
- Help drive sales and profitability through conversion, average order value, and customer satisfaction improvements.
- Protect the safety and security of the store and associates when other managers are unavailable.
- Carry out opening and closing tasks, including alarm activation/deactivation, cash handling, and daily balancing.
- Fulfill all duties associated with external key carrier status.
Experience and Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and coursework in business, retail management, or a related area is considered an advantage. The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, especially in retail, sales, customer-facing, or supervisory roles. Familiarity with technology and print, along with experience using related equipment and point-of-sale systems, is important.
Skills and Competencies
The role calls for strong selling ability, excellent interpersonal communication, and clear verbal and written expression. Candidates should be comfortable leading, coaching, and training others, while also working independently and collaboratively. Comfort with technology and store systems is important for daily execution. The position also requires strong problem-solving, conflict handling, time management, decision-making, business judgment, accountability, adaptability, and the ability to maintain open availability.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, subject to compliance with applicable state and local minimum wage requirements.
