Role overview
Johnson Controls is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for its Silent-Aire Europe operations in Dublin. The role focuses on verifying, recording, and resolving quality issues so that finished products meet internal and customer standards. This position suits a highly organised, detail-focused professional who can work methodically, stay results-oriented, and communicate clearly with production teams.
The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss inspection findings with colleagues responsible for manufacturing. Experience creating inspection check sheets for new designs will be valuable. Proficiency with MS Office is expected, and training will be provided. Key duties
- Confirm that in-process output meets specification by carrying out visual checks, measurements, and by passing along any required corrections or rework to the production supervisor.
- Prepare iAuditor inspection reports and work with production teams to make sure outstanding items are closed promptly.
- Develop quality check sheets and standards for new products.
- Collaborate with and guide the production, electrical, plumbing, and stores teams so completed work matches client expectations.
- Partner with engineering and production to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities.
- Help maintain a safe and healthy workplace by following procedures, standards, and legal requirements.
- Carry out additional tasks needed to support the quality management system and the wider organisation.
Requirements
- A third-level qualification in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- A conscientious, dependable, and responsible approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail and a careful way of working.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational ability and leadership capability.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and applicable legal standards.
- Comfortable using MS Office.
