Quality Control Inspector

Role overview

Johnson Controls is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for its Silent-Aire Europe operations in Dublin. Key duties

• Confirm that in-process output meets specification by carrying out visual checks, measurements, and by passing along any required corrections or rework to the production supervisor.
• Prepare iAuditor inspection reports and work with production teams to make sure outstanding items are closed promptly.
• Develop quality check sheets and standards for new products.
• Collaborate with and guide the production, electrical, plumbing, and stores teams so completed work matches client expectations.
• Partner with engineering and production to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Support and promote continuous improvement activities.
• Help maintain a safe and healthy workplace by following procedures, standards, and legal requirements.
• Carry out additional tasks needed to support the quality management system and the wider organisation.

Requirements

• A third-level qualification in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics.
• A conscientious, dependable, and responsible approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and a careful way of working.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational ability and leadership capability.
• Understanding of quality control procedures and applicable legal standards.
• Comfortable using MS Office.
