QA/QC Engineer (Construction Projects)

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to strengthen quality assurance and quality control activities on major construction assignments in Qatar. The position focuses on helping projects meet contractual requirements, technical standards, and client expectations across building, infrastructure, and communication works.

This is a full-time onsite opportunity for a quality-driven professional who can contribute to high-profile projects while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation, rollout, and ongoing upkeep of project quality management systems.
• Draft and apply quality plans, inspection and test plans, and related quality procedures.
• Carry out inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with specifications and standards.
• Track site execution to ensure work follows approved methods and procedures.
• Spot quality non-conformities and assist with corrective and preventive action activities.
• Keep quality documentation, reports, and records organized and up to date.
• Take part in internal as well as external quality audits.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on quality matters.
• Ensure adherence to relevant international standards and project-specific requirements.
• Help drive continuous improvement and encourage a strong quality culture on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience in building, infrastructure, and communication projects.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in setting up, operating, and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong command of international quality standards and quality management principles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and implement quality systems, quality plans, work procedures, and inspection plans.
• Hands-on experience with quality inspections, audits, document control, and compliance monitoring.
• IRCA-registered Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organization skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• High proficiency in both written and spoken English.
