Role overview
TXM Solutions is hiring a full-time Procurement Manager / Assistant Procurement Manager for its head office in Nad Al Hammar, Dubai, UAE. The role covers end-to-end purchasing support across direct, indirect, marketing, and logistics-related procurement activities in a fast-moving manufacturing and retail environment.
Direct procurement
- Arrange the purchase of fragrance oils, alcohol, chemicals, and other raw materials used in production.
- Oversee sourcing for packaging items such as bottles, caps, pumps, labels, cartons, gift boxes, and display packaging.
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with suppliers in the local and international market.
- Handle price discussions, payment terms, contract terms, and delivery timelines.
- Explore backup vendors and introduce measures that reduce spend.
Supply chain and planning
- Create procurement plans using sales forecasts, production schedules, and retail replenishment needs.
- Track stock levels and keep inventory balanced to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Sales, Retail Operations, R&D, and Finance teams.
Import and export logistics
- Coordinate international shipments from purchase order placement through to final receipt.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers.
- Prepare and manage trade paperwork such as commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, and customs clearance documents.
- Reduce freight expense while ensuring shipments arrive on time.
Indirect procurement
- Handle purchasing for office stationery and general office supplies.
- Source IT hardware, POS systems, and related accessories.
- Procure warehouse and facility consumables.
- Manage maintenance and service agreements.
- Support buying for retail operating supplies.
- Arrange corporate gifts and promotional merchandise.
Marketing and visual merchandising support
- Assist Marketing and Retail teams with sourcing VM materials, POS displays, and window display elements.
- Purchase exhibition and event booth materials, giveaways, shopping bags, gift boxes, packaging, and branded collateral.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for new product launches, retail campaigns, brand activations, trade exhibitions, and corporate events.
Supplier and contract management
- Assess vendor performance on quality, pricing, delivery, and service levels.
- Keep supplier agreements and procurement records up to date.
- Carry out regular supplier reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
Cost control and compliance
- Deliver savings across procurement without affecting quality standards.
- Follow company procurement rules and approval workflows.
- Support inventory checks and procurement reporting.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a similar discipline.
- At least 7 years of relevant procurement experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role leading a team.
- Background in perfume, cosmetics, personal care, or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Practical experience sourcing fragrance oils and packaging materials, along with managing import and export logistics.
- Solid exposure to demand planning and inventory control.
- Experience with indirect purchasing, including office, IT, and marketing-related buying.
- Strong capability in negotiation, analysis, and supplier management.
- Hands-on use of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar systems, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred skills and capabilities
- Familiarity with international sourcing and Incoterms.
- Experience coordinating freight and customs clearance.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-site retail and manufacturing setup.
- Clear communication, planning, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong commercial judgement with a focus on continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
