Role overview
City Vets and The Pet Hospital in Waterford city, part of IVC Evidensia, are hiring a Practice Director to lead daily clinic operations, support the team, and help drive outstanding veterinary service. This is a permanent full-time position based in Waterford city, County Waterford.
The role offers a salary of €50,000, with eligibility for a discretionary director bonus. A relocation allowance of up to €5,000 is available to help with the move. The working pattern is 40 hours per week across 5 days.
What the role involves
The Practice Director will take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the veterinary practice, with a strong focus on efficiency, client care, and team support. The position sits at the centre of operations, finance, people management, and service quality.

In this role, you will manage operational flow, support financial performance, and help maintain a productive, positive workplace. You will also work with senior leadership on growth plans and improvements for the practice.
About the practice
City Vets is a long-established companion animal hospital in central Waterford. The team includes 5 vets, 4 nurses, and support staff, and the practice is known for delivering high standards of care. The clinic handles a steady surgical caseload and is equipped with modern tools such as digital radiography, tonometry, and blood pressure monitoring.
