Role overview
This is a practical, site-based Operations Manager position reporting directly to the CEO. The role is responsible for steering daily manufacturing activity while improving productivity, performance, and site-wide continuous improvement.
The company is looking for a leader who is comfortable in a fast-paced setting, enjoys working with advanced technology, can build and guide strong teams, and places high importance on safety, product quality, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Manage everyday manufacturing and operational work so the site runs efficiently
- Lead teams across production, warehousing, and operations to meet safety, quality, and output goals
- Monitor and improve core operational measures such as OEE, PIFOT, DIFOT, waste levels, labour productivity, and total output
- Oversee operational budgets and expenditure to support business results
- Maintain compliance with food safety and quality requirements
- Champion and implement continuous improvement projects across the site
- Collaborate across the site to help deliver broader business objectives
Candidate profile
Applicants should bring prior experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, or Manufacturing Manager role. A background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a closely related environment is required.
The role calls for a hands-on leader who can coach and mentor teams, improve processes, work within compliance frameworks, and consistently deliver results. Strong analytical ability is important, including the skill to read operational data and use it to guide decisions.
