Role overview

This position is for a Mobile SDK Developer focused on Android development. The role involves creating and maintaining application features as well as reusable SDK components, with ownership of work from initial understanding through development, testing, and release.

Core engineering work

• Develop and support Android app functionality and reusable SDK modules.
• Handle small to medium features independently across the full delivery cycle, including requirement understanding, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Produce clean, maintainable, scalable Kotlin code aligned with current Android development practices.
• Design and maintain user interfaces in Jetpack Compose, including navigation and state handling.
• Integrate APIs using Ktor Client, covering authentication flows, error management, and offline behavior.
• Implement local persistence using Room and DataStore.

Quality, testing, and performance

• Create and maintain unit tests with JUnit and Turbine, and UI tests with Compose Testing.
• Track app health and investigate issues through Crashlytics and Sentry.
• Support CI/CD efforts such as automated test execution, lint checks, and release pipelines.
• Diagnose and fix production issues including ANRs, race conditions, and memory leaks.

Collaboration and communication

• Take part in code reviews, architecture conversations, and technical design write-ups.
• Work closely with product, backend, QA, design, and ML teams to ship reliable features.
• Clearly explain technical choices, trade-offs, and implementation plans to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of Android development experience; outstanding fresh graduates with strong relevant projects may also be considered.
• Strong command of Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, and Android lifecycle management.
• Practical experience with Jetpack Compose, Compose Navigation, and state management.
• Understanding of Clean Architecture and multi-module application design.
• Exposure to Hilt or Koin, Ktor Client, Room, and DataStore.
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and unit testing tools such as JUnit and MockK/Mockito.
• Strong analytical thinking, ownership mindset, and technical communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently, dealing with ambiguity, and learning continuously.
• Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform and SDK/library development is valued.
• Experience with CameraX/Camera2, ML Kit, TensorFlow Lite, or image processing is a plus.
• Knowledge of WebView security, performance tuning, and AI-assisted coding tools is beneficial.
• Background in fintech, KYC/AML, or security-oriented products is preferred.
• Familiarity with iOS development using SwiftUI or UIKit is an added advantage.
