About the organisation
Te Mahau | Education Services is a frontline group that provides leadership and integrated services to the education sector and related groups. Its work includes learning support, education advice and regulation for schools and early learning services, and curriculum support. The team also works with regional and national Ministry teams to share practice, build insights, and improve guidance, design, and policy.
The group partners with early childhood and schooling sectors, providers, communities, iwi, and hapū to help children and young people achieve their potential. It also helps strengthen relationships with communities supporting Māori, Pacific peoples, disabled ākonga, learners with support needs, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
About you
To succeed in this role, you should bring experience and understanding of the schooling sector and the legislation that applies to it. You will need to be confident building relationships, influencing change, using data to spot trends and risks, and providing high-quality advice in both written and spoken form.
