Maintenance Manager

Role overview

A manufacturing employer in Kildare Town is hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager to take charge of the site’s maintenance operations. This is a fully on-site position in a busy production setting, with responsibility for the smooth running of day-to-day maintenance activities.

The role involves leading a team of around 10 engineers, made up of mechanical fitters and electricians at both qualified and part-qualified levels.

Working pattern

This is a Monday to Friday role, set at 40 hours per week. The position is site-based, and occasional Saturday work may be needed.

Key duties

• Direct and coordinate the site maintenance team.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance as well as urgent repair work.
• Keep machinery and plant operating efficiently to reduce downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and better operational performance.
• Organise maintenance planning, prioritisation, and scheduling.
• Partner with production and operations teams to support site output.

Requirements

Applicants should have prior experience in a maintenance management role. A background in manufacturing is preferred, though candidates from other sectors may also be considered.

Strong leadership ability and proven people management skills are essential. Previous work experience in Ireland is required, and applicants must already have full permission to work, as sponsorship is not available.

Package

The salary range is €80,000 to €90,000, with benefits including a 3% pension contribution and annual leave of 21 days, increasing to 22 days after five years of service.
