Logistics Coordinator

Role Summary

This contract opportunity is for a Logistics Coordinator in Dubai, UAE, supporting transportation planning and execution for a global client. The position is focused on keeping shipment activity smooth, deliveries on schedule, and coordination effective across supply chain partners.

What You’ll Do

• Work with cross-functional supply chain teams to improve daily order planning and shipment scheduling.
• Handle transportation tasks such as choosing carriers, improving load utilization, and following routing rules.
• Use TMS and client-side systems to make sure shipments move efficiently and deliver on time and in full.
• Monitor shipment progress and ensure pickup and delivery timelines are met.
• Keep freight estimates, logistics plans, and cost records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external logistics vendors to achieve service-level targets.
• Review data movement across ERP, TMS, and WMS platforms so operations remain connected and reliable.
• Spot transportation capacity shortfalls and help develop planning responses.
• Use reporting and analysis to improve carrier performance.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts within logistics operations.
• Ensure all activities align with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements.

Required Background

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Project Management is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics planning or transportation is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is needed.
• You should understand supply chain workflows and performance metrics well.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for working with stakeholders and vendors.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving operational setting is essential.
• Experience in a multicultural workplace is an advantage.
