Role overview

Allied Universal Facility Management and Janitorial Services is looking for a full-time Janitor to handle routine cleaning and upkeep across one building or several client locations in Orlando, Florida. The work is hands-on and can vary based on each client’s needs, so adaptability and attention to detail are important. This team provides dependable cleaning, landscaping, restoration, maintenance, and related facility services in a collaborative environment.

What you will do

The position focuses on general cleaning and preservation of assigned spaces. Daily tasks may change depending on site requirements, and the role calls for flexibility in carrying out duties as directed.

The pay rate mentioned for this role is $20 per hour.

Key duties

• Clear and clean waste bins, take trash and paper waste to the designated disposal area, and wipe containers down.
• Empty ashtrays, check sand urns, and refill sand when needed.
• Remove dust from picture frames, charts, graphs, and wall décor.
• Dust ceiling vents, air-conditioning diffusers, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilation fixtures.
• Vacuum floor mats and carpeted sections in offices, lobbies, and hallways.
• Dust and clean office furniture, filing systems, fixtures, wall paneling, windowsills, and similar surfaces.
• Wipe and polish metal fittings and other decorative hardware.
• Clean tiled floor areas as needed and maintain them appropriately.
• Wipe down and polish glass furniture and surfaces.
• Clean glass on interior and exterior entry doors.
• Remove marks and stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, areas near switches, private glass entries, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sanitize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum them if they are carpeted.
• Sweep and mop building floors.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and replenish restroom supplies.

Requirements

The employer is seeking someone who can understand and carry out both written and spoken instructions. At least 6 months of experience in a janitorial role is required.
