Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Estimator to support a client team in California. This role centers on building reliable cost and resource estimates through careful analysis, coordination with cross-functional teams, and strong attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Study project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop precise cost estimates.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect the information needed for estimating.
- Gather pricing information by researching materials and obtaining subcontractor quotations.
- Examine project data to determine expected material, labor, and time needs.
- Create detailed reports and presentations that summarize estimation results.
- Complete estimates within required timelines while meeting company expectations.
- Stay current on industry practices, standards, and trends relevant to estimating.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong number skills and the ability to analyze information accurately.
- Excellent organizational habits and close attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently as well as in a team setting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with estimating tools or related software is considered an advantage.
Additional Information
Pay: $30 to $35 per hour.
Schedule: Monday through Friday.
Location: California.
Travel: About 0% travel expected.
