About the Company
Sama Integrated Smart Systems is a licensed and registered system integrator based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The company delivers end-to-end services across extra low voltage systems, security solutions, ICT infrastructure, and EV charging solutions. Its work covers sales, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance, with a commitment to quality, professional ethics, and putting client needs first.
Role Overview
The ELV Project Engineer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of extra low voltage works on construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring that ELV systems are delivered according to specifications, timelines, quality expectations, and safety requirements, while working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Project Planning and Execution
This position involves managing ELV scopes such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, SMATV, BMS interfaces, PA/GA, and related low-current systems. The engineer will review drawings, specifications, and scope documents, then prepare the necessary method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and work schedules. Day-to-day site progress must be tracked to keep activities aligned with approved plans.
Site Coordination and Supervision
The engineer will coordinate with civil, MEP, IT, and main contractor teams to keep ELV work synchronized with the wider project schedule. Responsibilities also include guiding subcontractors and technicians, contributing technical input during site meetings, and resolving site clashes, technical questions, and execution issues without delay.
Quality Control, Testing, and Commissioning
All installations must comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant international standards. The role includes carrying out inspections, testing, and commissioning for ELV systems, along with preparing inspection records, test results, and as-built documentation. Coordination with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals is also required.
Material and Cost Control
The engineer will support material planning, procurement coordination, and stock tracking. A key part of the role is monitoring usage to reduce waste and maintain cost control, as well as assisting with variation orders and documentation for additional scope when needed.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
All ELV activities must follow HSE policies, site safety rules, and proper PPE usage. The role also requires adherence to local authority requirements and project-specific compliance standards throughout execution.
Requirements
Candidates should bring strong technical knowledge, coordination ability, and hands-on project execution experience in ELV systems within construction environments. The role demands the ability to plan, supervise, and deliver ELV works while coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and main contractors to ensure timely completion and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field is required. Applicants should have 4 to 6 years of experience working with ELV systems in construction or engineering projects. Valid SIRA and ADMCC certifications are mandatory.
Technical and Professional Skills
Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, structured cabling, SMATV, PA/GA, BMS interfaces, and fiber or other low-current systems is essential. The candidate should be skilled in testing, commissioning, and system integration, and able to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications. Experience in coordinating with civil, MEP, and main contractor teams is also needed, along with the ability to manage subcontractors and technicians on site.
Documentation and Behavioral Expectations
The role requires confidence in preparing material submittals, inspection records, and as-built documentation. The ideal candidate will be accountable, adaptable, solution-oriented, and focused on results, while consistently maintaining compliance with HSE standards, project requirements, and authority regulations.
Benefits
Successful candidates will receive a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to build a rewarding career within one of the UAE’s leading family-owned business groups.
Location
