Role overview
An established environmental consultancy is hiring an Ecologist for its Cambridge team. What the role involves
In this role, you will take part in projects from start to finish, conducting ecological field surveys, preparing technical documentation, and helping clients navigate the planning process. The work is varied and will give you exposure to a wide mix of sites while helping you build and strengthen your technical expertise.
Compensation and benefits
The salary for this permanent role is GBP 34,000 to GBP 40,000. Requirements
Applicants should have prior experience in ecological consultancy or a similar ecology-focused role, along with experience carrying out habitat surveys and writing detailed ecological reports. A strong grasp of UK ecological law and the planning framework is important, as is membership of CIEEM or active progress toward it. The role also requires a full UK driving licence, the right to work in the UK without restriction, strong communication and organisational ability, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates must also live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office.
