About Circles

Circles, established in 2014, is a global technology company transforming the telecom sector through its SaaS platform. Its solutions help telecom operators launch new digital brands or modernize existing ones more quickly, supporting their shift toward tech-led businesses.

The company works with major telecom operators across several regions, including KDDI Corporation, Etisalat Group (e&), AT&T, and Telkomsel, and helps shape modern digital and telecom experiences used by millions worldwide.

In addition to its core SaaS platform, Circles runs three other businesses: Circles.Life, a Singapore-based digital lifestyle telco brand powered by its own platform; Circles Aspire, a CPaaS provider offering cloud-based tools for mobile, messaging, IoT, and connectivity services; and Jetpac, a travel tech brand known for eSIM roaming across more than 200 destinations and travel-focused connectivity products.

Circles is supported by well-known global investors such as Peak XV Partners, Warburg Pincus, Founders Fund, and EDBI.

About the Role

This internship is intended for a driven, practical, and inquisitive Corporate Development Intern who will help support Circles’ growth ambitions as it expands beyond Asia. The role is based in Singapore at group level and offers strong exposure to the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector as well as the regional startup ecosystem.

You will work closely with senior leadership on growth planning, market assessment, and strategic transactions that strengthen the company’s position in the market.

M&A and Strategic Transactions

  • Carry out detailed research on industry movements, competitive positioning, and possible acquisition targets.
  • Support due diligence work by helping manage data rooms and coordinating with teams across Product, Legal, and Finance.
  • Track valuation benchmarks and operating metrics for peer companies to aid transaction analysis.

Fundraising and Investor Relations

  • Prepare investor-facing materials such as pitch decks, investment memos, and business plans.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining financial models used for valuation work and fundraising planning.
  • Help manage investor relationships by monitoring interactions with private equity, venture capital, and strategic investors and preparing briefing notes for meetings.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The role suits someone who is currently studying for, or has recently completed, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

You should be comfortable working with financial statements and understand core valuation approaches such as DCF and trading comparables.

Strong skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel are important, along with the ability to build clear, well-structured presentations in Google Slides or PowerPoint.

A startup-oriented mindset is important: you should be comfortable in fast-moving environments, able to handle ambiguity, willing to take on any task, and capable of working independently with minimal direction.

Excellent written and spoken English is required, along with the ability to distill complex information into concise, practical insights.

The internship is preferred for candidates who can commit full time for 3 to 6 months.

What You Will Gain

  • Direct mentorship from professionals with backgrounds in top-tier investment banking and venture capital.
  • Hands-on exposure to live deals and strategic initiatives that can influence the company’s valuation.
  • The chance to build connections across Singapore’s dynamic technology ecosystem and beyond.
