Role overview
This is a remote contractor position for an Arabic Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee quality checks, consistency, and trainer performance across Arabic AI training initiatives. The work is hourly in nature and focuses on reviewing Arabic AI-generated content as well as trainer and QA deliverables to ensure they meet project requirements.
You will be responsible for giving clear written feedback, enforcing quality benchmarks, and helping contributors follow the right standards. The role combines language expertise, documentation, coordination, and process support in a fast-moving AI data services environment that supplies training data to major AI companies and foundation-model labs.
Your work will help improve Arabic outputs so they are accurate, natural, culturally suitable, well documented, and aligned with client expectations.
What you will do
- Review Arabic items to catch quality issues and provide regular feedback through direct messages.
- Escalate repeated or serious problems when they occur.
- Keep trainers and QAs updated on Discord about guideline changes, workflow updates, and quality expectations.
- Answer questions from trainers and QAs about Arabic grammar, wording, register, dialect, right-to-left formatting, translation accuracy, terminology, and cultural context.
- Reach out to inactive contributors, encourage them to resume work, and track follow-up actions.
- Create, update, and maintain project documentation such as style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding resources.
- Organize and lead onboarding or training calls to explain expectations, workflows, rubrics, quality standards, and Arabic-specific style rules.
- Make sure all trainers and QAs apply Arabic guidelines consistently as projects change.
- Spot recurring weaknesses in the workflow and suggest practical improvements for scalable QA operations.
Selection process

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should have strong Arabic and English skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage quality workflows across remote teams. This role also calls for structured communication, strong documentation habits, and a firm grasp of Arabic language standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Arabic, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
- Native or near-native Arabic proficiency with strong reading and writing ability.
- Solid English skills for understanding project instructions and communicating feedback clearly.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Arabic writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or a similar language-review function.
- Strong command of Arabic grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, right-to-left formatting, tone, register, Modern Standard Arabic, and regional variation.
- Ability to assess Arabic content against detailed rubrics and detect mistranslation, overly literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect register, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, or inconsistent terminology.
- Prior experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
- Comfort using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools in a fast-paced remote setup.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, with experience maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding material, honeypots, and similar documentation.
- Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a plus.
