Arnold Clark is hiring an energetic and driven Valeter for its Oldbury Motorstore. The role is suited to someone who likes hands-on work, takes pride in precise results, and works well with others.

Working hours
This is a full-time role with the following schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm; Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm; and alternate Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm.
What you will do
You will be responsible for preparing vehicles so they are shown in excellent condition. The job involves maintaining high presentation standards for both sold and stock vehicles, supporting branch operations, and keeping records up to date.
- Clean sold and stock vehicles to a consistently high standard
- Wash exteriors using a pressure washer
- Vacuum and shampoo interiors using high-powered equipment
- Use polishing and buffing tools to improve the finish of bodywork
- Follow health and safety rules when handling chemicals
- Keep equipment and machinery in safe working order, report faults, and follow manufacturer guidance and PPE requirements
- Work within agreed deadlines and performance targets
- Use an online diary system to organise vehicle scheduling
- Record daily work completed
- Carry out other branch support tasks as needed
Skills and experience
This role will suit someone with strong attention to detail, a practical mindset, and the ability to stay organised in an active environment. Training is available for the right person who shows enthusiasm and meets the key requirements.
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic computer literacy
- Excellent eye for detail
- Self-driven and comfortable working within a team

- Willingness to take part in training
Training and development
Previous valet experience is helpful but not compulsory. New joiners will attend the company’s Valet Academy, and training will be provided where needed.
