The Opportunity
BlueScope Building Components has several openings for Team Members to join the production team in Novar Gardens. This business unit, part of BlueScope in Australia, produces and sells steel building products, solutions, and services through brands such as Lysaght, Fielders, and Ranbuild.
No prior experience in manufacturing or operations is required. Full on-the-job training and ongoing support will be provided, making this a great opportunity to build a long-term career.

Compensation and Work Pattern
These are full-time, permanent positions with a weekly pay rate starting at $1,061.72 and reaching up to $1,124.80 depending on skills and experience. The role includes eligibility for overtime, public holiday pay, and a quarterly bonus.
The operation runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with day, afternoon, and night shift options. Afternoon shift includes a 15% loading, while night shift includes a 30% loading.
Shift timings are as follows:
- Day shift: 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Night shift: 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, starting on Sunday evenings
Role Overview
You will be part of a team manufacturing high-quality steel products, with a strong emphasis on safety and precision so that output is delivered on time and to a high standard.
Key Duties
- Help maintain and promote a safe working environment
- Operate machinery used in product processing and manufacturing
- Use equipment such as forklifts and cranes
- Pack, strap, and inspect finished goods for quality
The job involves manual handling and lifting, and it is based in a manufacturing setting where noise and seasonal temperature variations should be expected. Training, support, and the necessary equipment will be provided to help you work safely and effectively.
About You
Previous experience in operations or manufacturing is not essential. The company is looking for people who are eager to learn and contribute positively as part of a team.
Ideal candidates will be safety-focused, communicate well, work cooperatively with others, and bring a positive, adaptable attitude to shift-based work. A forklift licence will need to be obtained, with support from the employer. Respect for others, appreciation for diversity, and comfort in a fast-paced environment are also important.
