Kerzner International is hiring a Tailor to join the Housekeeping team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai. This position is an important part of the resort’s ongoing success and contributes not only through technical tailoring work, but also by helping maintain excellent presentation standards for both colleagues and guests.

The ideal candidate will deliver precise tailoring, alterations, and garment repairs, while working quickly and carefully to maintain quality, craftsmanship, and timely turnaround. The role also requires strong collaboration with colleagues across departments and a professional approach when handling guest belongings.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out advanced alterations, stitching, hemming, resizing, and garment repair work.
• Conduct fittings and modify uniforms or other garments to achieve correct measurements and a polished finish.
• Work carefully with delicate materials, complex garment styles, and high-volume tailoring requests.
• Support, coordinate, and guide the tailoring team to maintain quality standards and complete work on time.
• Plan the daily workload, handle urgent requests first, and keep operations running efficiently.
• Ensure tailoring machines, tools, and related equipment are properly maintained and functional.
• Track supplies such as thread, fabric, buttons, sewing materials, and accessories.
• Keep the tailoring area tidy, organized, and safe at all times.
• Liaise with departments such as Housekeeping and the Uniform Room to manage uniform alterations and distribution.
• Verify that all garments are finished in line with company standards before they are handed over.
• Handle guest items with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Candidate profile

The resort is looking for someone with at least 1–2 years of experience as a tailor, ideally in a luxury hotel, resort, upscale hospitality environment, or a professional tailoring setup. A strong understanding of garment construction, alterations, fittings, sewing methods, and fabric handling is necessary.

The right candidate should be highly detail-oriented, maintain strong finishing standards, and demonstrate excellent craftsmanship. Good communication and interpersonal skills are important, along with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and guests and perform well in a busy environment. Experience using tailoring equipment and tools is required. Fluency in English is essential, and an additional language will be an advantage.
