Where you'll work
नोकरीचे वर्णन
Role overview
This position suits someone who enjoys digging into the facts and working toward a balanced outcome. The role sits within third party insured settlements, where Youi’s customer has been found responsible for an incident and the other insurer approaches Youi for reimbursement.
Rather than leaving the customer to manage that process, you will take over the discussion, assess the incident details, apply road rules, and negotiate directly with the other insurer until an agreement is reached. This work helps build strong negotiation ability and practical claims judgement that can lead into specialist or leadership pathways.
What you will do
- Handle a full-time, on-site position based in Sippy Downs.
- Work a Monday to Friday schedule on a 9-day fortnight.
- Manage your own portfolio of third party settlement files.
- Examine the circumstances of accidents to work out liability.
- Assess statements, reports, and other supporting material.
- Use road rules and relevant legislation when making liability decisions.
- Negotiate settlement results with the other insurer.
- Resolve matters efficiently while still aiming for fair outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records across your portfolio.
- Work toward settlement targets that support both speed and cost control.
What success looks like
- Remain composed during difficult negotiations and steer discussions back to the facts.
- Approach liability questions logically before taking a position.
- Weigh fairness to the other party against the interests of the customer and the business.
- Prepare thoroughly before negotiating so you understand each file in detail.
- Stay structured and organised so cases keep moving forward.
- Keep pushing when negotiations slow or stall.
- Use each matter as a learning opportunity to strengthen your judgement.
What you will receive
- Fixed start and finish times to help you plan life beyond work.
- 22 days of annual leave, plus volunteer leave and annual salary reviews.
- Paid onboarding training and ongoing coaching to grow your negotiation skills.
- Clear development routes into specialist claims roles and leadership positions.
- A supportive team culture where colleagues back one another.
- An award-winning rewards and recognition program.
- Free skin checks, flu vaccinations, and financial wellbeing sessions.
- Discounted gym membership through Fitness Passport.
- Discounted insurance products from Youi.
- End-of-trip amenities and a casual dress code.
