This role suits a creative, detail-focused writer who can develop persuasive e-commerce messaging for a wide range of consumer brands. It is a project-based opportunity centered on producing SEO-friendly content that improves the shopping experience across major retail platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams, shift comfortably between brand voices, and write for different audiences and digital touchpoints. Your work will span product copy, enhanced brand content, and other retail assets that help shape customer interest and buying decisions. The position is remote and designed for an experienced storyteller who can balance originality with data-informed content strategy in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Write clear, accurate, and brand-aligned product-page copy optimized for search performance across major e-commerce channels.
- Use keyword research to refine product titles, feature bullets, long-form descriptions, and backend metadata that support visibility and engagement.
- Develop persuasive content for enhanced digital placements such as image tiles, branded storefronts, sponsored ads, and below-the-fold sections.
- Craft strong headlines and product messages that follow brand standards, retailer rules, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Adjust tone and messaging for different brands, customer groups, product types, and online retail settings.
- Handle several assignments at once while delivering polished work on schedule in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
- Review, edit, and polish copy to maintain exceptional grammar, consistency, and overall quality.
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a closely related subject, along with at least 6 years of experience in copywriting, communications, journalism, content creation, or a similar field. Prior work creating e-commerce, product, or SEO-driven copy for digital retail platforms is required. A solid grasp of SEO, keyword research, and digital content best practices is important, as are excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling abilities with strong attention to detail. The role also calls for comfort writing in multiple brand voices, strong organization and project management, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and web-based research tools, plus excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be self-driven, able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams, and available for occasional travel when business needs demand it.

The pay is competitive hourly compensation of USD 65 to USD 80, depending on experience, location, and qualifications. This is a fully remote role for eligible U.S. states.
