Salesforce Release Manager (Copado)

Role overview

This full-time Salesforce DevOps Expert position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, with a hybrid working setup. The role is centered on building and improving CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce applications so that releases are faster, smoother, and aligned with security and compliance standards. The position calls for 10+ years of overall IT experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Salesforce DevOps pipelines using tools such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Automate deployments across Salesforce environments including Sandbox, UAT, and Production.
• Create and manage branching approaches and version control practices for Salesforce metadata and code.
• Track release performance, strengthen rollback planning, and validate deployments effectively.
• Set up test automation and connect it with DevOps workflows.
• Maintain governance and compliance controls in deployment activities, including audit trails and change records.
• Advise on environment planning, sandbox administration, and data seeding approaches.
• Keep current with Salesforce platform updates and evolving DevOps methods.

Experience and skills needed

• At least 3 years of direct experience in Salesforce DevOps or release management.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, metadata, and deployment processes.
• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and GitHub.
• Working knowledge of Git-based development practices and source control.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX and command-line deployment workflows.
• Good grasp of Agile delivery and core DevOps concepts.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred background

• Experience working across multiple Salesforce clouds such as Sales, Service, Marketing, or Industries.
• Exposure to industries with strict compliance requirements, including finance or healthcare.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools within DevOps processes.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II.
• Hands-on exposure to automated testing frameworks for Salesforce.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for integrations.
