Role Summary
This full-time outbound Sales Development Representative role is centered on one main objective: setting qualified discovery calls. The SDR will work from a supplied lead list and reach out to prospective customers through phone and email using structured outreach sequences. The position is dedicated to engagement, follow-up, and appointment setting, with no responsibility for lead sourcing. The representative will also keep CRM data accurate, respond to early objections, and coordinate closely with the sales team to ensure qualified meetings are handed off smoothly. Success in this role is measured by consistent demo bookings and strong outreach performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact prospects proactively by phone and email to generate qualified discovery calls.
- Follow defined outreach cadences and persistence plans to improve connect and booking rates.
- Use the provided lead list only; independent lead generation is not part of the job.
- Maintain clean and up-to-date records in the CRM.
- Handle basic early-stage objections and keep conversations moving toward a booked meeting.
- Work in coordination with the sales team to transfer qualified appointments efficiently.
- Stay focused on outreach productivity, conversion, and booking targets.
Qualifications
- Solid outbound sales capability, including experience with high-volume outreach and moving prospects into qualified conversations.
- Ability to research accounts, identify decision-makers, and organize targeted contact lists.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, persuasive style across multiple channels.
- Experience supporting business development efforts, including pipeline creation and early relationship building.
- Comfort working with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools in a KPI-driven environment.
- Quick learner who can understand government contracting, AI-driven products, and data-focused solutions.
- B2B SaaS, analytics, data, or government contracting experience is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Self-driven, resilient, and organized, with the ability to refine messaging based on feedback and results.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected on-target earnings are estimated at CAD 70,000 to CAD 80,000 per year when quota is achieved.
- Commission is uncapped, giving high performers the opportunity to earn significantly above target.
