Retail Shift Manager

Role overview

As a Retail Shift Manager with Lidl GB in Weymouth, you will play a key part in keeping store standards high and day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll lead by example on the shop floor, support and energise your team, and help the store perform in a busy, high-pressure retail setting. The contract is for 35 to 40 hours per week. Shifts run between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm. Pay is £15.45 to £15.95 per hour, with an additional £2.00 per hour for bank holiday work and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. Key responsibilities

• Lead, encourage, and support the team while working in line with the company’s leadership and business principles.
• Respond quickly to issues, make decisions, and assign tasks effectively.
• Build a positive environment where colleagues can perform well and contribute confidently.
• Oversee store operations and support colleagues when the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager are unavailable.
• Manage freshness, cash handling, stock control, and inventory processes so shifts stay organised and efficient.
• Deliver a strong customer experience on every visit.
