Role overview
The Regional Manager - RPV role is focused on driving retirement solutions sales, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring team performance across assigned territories in Karnataka. The position requires a strong mix of business development, people management, process execution, and customer servicing to support growth in premium and annuity-linked business.
Key accountabilities
- Maintain strong working relationships with nodal officers and other relevant contacts.
- Support the transfer of funds from existing NPS subscribers and promote annuity solutions for customers approaching retirement.
- Offer company solutions for PFM transfer and act as an ASP for customers who are retiring or nearing retirement.
- Work toward premium and NOP targets that contribute to overall business expansion.
- Assign leads to team members based on targets and allotted territories.
- Track team performance regularly on assigned topline and annuity products, and support improvements where needed.
- Guide team members through the sales cycle, from lead conversion to closure.
- Drive participation in organizational recognition and reward initiatives.
- Ensure sales and related business processes run smoothly to maximize business opportunity.
- Reach out to HR teams in relevant organizations and coordinate meetings with reporting managers.
- Convert transfer opportunities and retired personnel into potential customers.
- Engage with nodal officers monthly through office visits within the assigned territory and coordinate meetings with the right stakeholders.
- Support existing customers and handle service-related needs.
- Make sure sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint handling happen without operational delays.
- Allocate responsibility and territory according to team strengths.
- Assess the opportunity size of each business unit and distribute targets accordingly.
- Use the appropriate business acquisition approach to generate the right product sales for the organization.
- Source business from PSUs and government offices in the nearby region.
- Build and sustain relationships with nodal officers to avoid delays or rejections in lead conversion.
- Review business activity regularly and share relevant updates with senior management.
- Meet company-defined targets so that leads are converted quickly and effectively.
- Maintain MIS reports and dashboards for annuity-related data.
- Ensure timely hiring of team members.
- Manage attrition within approved limits.
- Support ongoing on-the-job training and capability building for team members.
- Be responsible for the sales and annuity goals of direct reports as per their goal sheets.
- Coordinate internally with support executives, trainers, HR, issuance coordinators, and client service teams as needed.
- Work with external relationships daily to support business development and ensure smooth operations.
People and coordination responsibilities
This position involves working closely with internal teams for policy login, training, recruitment, issuance, and service issues. It also requires regular interaction with external business contacts to keep sales movement and customer servicing efficient.
