The Opportunity

Cook Brothers Construction is looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join its Wanaka team as the business continues to expand. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee cost control and budget tracking to help projects run efficiently and successfully.
• Develop forecasts and financial reports, and manage subcontractor packages and tender processes.
• Review progress payments and variation claims carefully and with sound judgement.
• Maintain positive working relationships with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with different disciplines to solve issues, identify opportunities, and strengthen team performance.

What We Are Looking For

This position suits a driven professional with at least 5 years of experience in New Zealand commercial construction who is comfortable being involved across the full project lifecycle and understands the importance of clear, steady communication.

You should also bring proven experience on high-value commercial projects in New Zealand, along with a relevant diploma or degree. Strong commercial awareness, cost management capability, teamwork, and communication skills are important, as is the ability to work effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners.
