Overview

Seymour Pacific Developments is hiring a Project Coordinator to join its Project Management team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position supports multi-family residential construction projects and plays a key role in keeping schedules, project documentation, and overall project health on track.

The ideal candidate is someone who plans ahead, adapts quickly when priorities shift, and stays effective in a fast-moving construction environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of project schedules, change orders, back-charges, deficiencies, construction progress, and final closeout activities.
  • Coordinate with different departments to keep all project records current and properly used, including RFIs, site instructions, daily logs, issue and risk logs, drawing logs, inspection and test logs, professional schedules, and punch lists.
  • Help resolve issues that arise during the build, including procurement, contract discussions, scheduling, budgeting, equipment, staffing, quality, safety, and commissioning matters.
  • Track and manage delays in project workflows.
  • Monitor back-charge processes, deficiency and warranty claims, and any changes to project scope.
  • Attend meetings with clients and work directly with owner representatives.
  • Prepare project organization charts and communication charts.
  • Use scheduling and project control tools to monitor construction progress, risks, issues, and overall project performance.
  • Share accurate and timely project updates with both clients and internal project teams.
  • Support and lead pre-construction planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate project schedules in MS Project.
  • Bring forward ideas that improve internal processes in a constructive and collaborative way.
  • Partner with the Manager, SPD Project Coordination to strengthen and improve Project Management Office standards over time.
  • Use business-case reasoning when requesting additional resources.
  • Run project meetings and prepare release notes and action lists.
  • Create management reports covering issues, schedules, risks, back-charges, and closeout status.
