Role overview
Abbott is hiring a Production Operator for its Clonmel, County Tipperary site on a permanent contract. The role is part of a 2-cycle shift pattern running Monday to Friday across day and evening shifts.
What the role involves
This position supports electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly work on products and sub-assemblies. The role also includes operating automatic or semi-automatic equipment and carrying out related production tasks such as labelling packs and adding data sheets to product.
Key duties
- Carry out assembly, repair, inspection and testing activities in line with written work instructions.
- Set up and run manufacturing machines or equipment using instructions provided in English.
- Clean tools and equipment according to documented procedures and record information on approved forms.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in the designated waste areas.
- Identify routine issues, suggest basic improvements and support training of colleagues when required.
- Keep required certifications current to remain compliant.
- Complete assigned work each day within schedule, following supervisor guidance on task priorities.
- Handle straightforward problems using established procedures while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Follow all relevant corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
