Product Quality Inspector

Role overview

Philips is hiring a Product Quality Inspector in Pune, Maharashtra. This full-time onsite position focuses on hands-on quality control work in a manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on product inspection, problem-solving, documentation, and compliance with regulated quality systems.

What you will do

• Carry out a range of complex quality control activities and support resolution of production or product issues with limited day-to-day supervision.
• Investigate abnormalities in manufacturing processes and help address malfunctions using your technical understanding.
• Perform product quality inspection work within the project scope and support corrective action where needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts, including analysis of recurring issues and suggestions for better control methods.
• Apply quality procedures while working in line with good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.
• Help maintain documentation related to regulatory and quality-control requirements for medical device manufacturing.
• Support validation protocols, testing methods, and readiness activities for new products and processes.
• Take part in planning and priority-setting for your area of responsibility, and escalate concerns to senior team members when necessary.
• Assist with equipment maintenance activities and follow established maintenance-related procedures.
• Work safely by following site safety rules, including correct handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Check your own output carefully and keep improving through on-the-job learning and skill development.

Experience and fit

• You should have at least 4 years of manufacturing quality experience, preferably in the medtech sector.
• Knowledge of in-process quality, final quality, DEFOA, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR 820 is preferred.
• IPC A610 certification is also preferred.
• A diploma in Electrical or Electronics is required.
• The role calls for digital fluency, troubleshooting ability, technical documentation skills, and a strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory expectations.

About the work style

This is an onsite position, which means full-time presence at the company’s facilities is expected. Philips also notes that its office-based teams typically work in person at least three days per week.
