Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist will oversee indirect purchasing across three North American brands within the L’Occitane Group: L’Occitane en Provence, Erborian, and Elemis. This role supports a spend base of more than USD 100M and about 1,000 suppliers, creating opportunities to drive negotiation results, improve processes, and implement better tools across Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and other business services categories. The position also carries responsibility for supplier management with a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, aligned with the company’s commitments.
What You’ll Do
- Own RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities based on business requirements, working closely with teams such as Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Digital, Sales, and Sustainability.
- Handle strategic sourcing initiatives when they are needed.
- Perform financial analysis with Finance to confirm negotiation outcomes meet business expectations.
- Review and discuss supplier and internal contracts, and manage agreements throughout their lifecycle.
- Identify and recommend process improvements based on day-to-day operational needs.
- Work with suppliers to create mutually beneficial agreements and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Contribute to a global procurement network by sharing insights and benchmarking practices across regions and brands.
- Bring forward new supplier, service, and material options from the market to support innovation.
- Manage supplier engagement in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability programs, ensuring these criteria influence procurement decisions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting, including results and KPI updates for Leadership and Finance.
- Take on additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a closely related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience with increasing responsibility, ideally within consumer goods and/or retail.
- Background in indirect procurement, preferably marketing and merchandising categories in the US market.
- Hands-on experience with negotiation, strategic sourcing, and RFx processes.
- Experience managing contracts and suppliers.
- Exposure to the beauty sector and/or retail is preferred.
- Experience working on supplier management initiatives tied to Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
- Experience in project management and in reviewing or creating processes.
- Prior work in a multi-country and/or multi-brand organization.
- Ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority.
- Comfortable building alignment across functions and presenting supplier-market solutions and options.
- Practical, self-directed approach with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Organized enough to manage KPIs, contracts, and multiple projects/categories simultaneously.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach.

Travel Requirements
Travel may be required to the New Jersey warehouse and to suppliers across the country as needed, at approximately 10% of working time.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is between USD 80,000 and USD 85,000, with the final offer depending on experience, skills, and location. The role is also eligible for a competitive bonus program.
