Role Overview

The Process Engineer for clean processes will oversee the monitoring, improvement, and optimization of the mask blank cleaning process used in leading-edge manufacturing. You will review process data, troubleshoot issues, run experiments, and work to maintain strong quality and productivity. The role involves close coordination with Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to keep operations stable and aligned with quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the cleaning machines used in mask blank manufacturing.
• Support equipment start-up, qualification, and ongoing upkeep to meet production and quality targets.
• Apply Statistical Process Control methods to keep the cleaning process stable and reliable.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective measures.
• Review current procedures, optimize them, and introduce improvements where needed.
• Plan and carry out experiments, interpret data, and improve process capability, stability, quality, cost, and output.
• Track inventory levels for essential spare parts and consumables so production can continue without interruption.

Skills and Experience

A background in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a similar engineering field is required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply if they have relevant academic projects, internships, or exposure to semiconductor manufacturing. Candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in wet cleaning, wet etching, clean technology, CMP polishing, or another related semiconductor process are preferred.

You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis, and have a solid understanding of statistical analysis tools such as Klarity and SPC. Strong problem-solving ability, a hands-on approach, and the confidence to work independently are important, along with the ability to contribute effectively in a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also needed. The role is based in a cleanroom and manufacturing environment.
