Overview

Compass International School Doha, part of Nord Anglia Education, is seeking a Primary Class Teacher for its Doha campus. Founded in 2006, Compass delivers a high-quality British education to both expatriate and Qatari families across three campuses. Two campuses, Al Themaid and Madinat Khalifa, serve students from Early Years to Secondary, while Gharaffa is a dedicated Primary campus for children aged 3 to 11. The school follows a tailored British curriculum, with secondary students able to choose from GCSE/IGCSE, AS and A Level courses, as well as the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. The community is student-centred, welcoming, and known for strong teaching and a supportive culture.

The school holds Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) and is affiliated with BSME, COBIS and AoBSO.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that match the school’s Primary curriculum and encourage a classroom culture with high expectations and no limits on achievement. The role calls for a teacher who can guide learning through purposeful questioning, discussion, and respect-based classroom practice.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• A university degree in Primary Education.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• A bachelor’s degree plus PGCE/QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification obtained through face-to-face study at a physical institution, to meet Qatar visa requirements.
• Ability to satisfy Qatar visa restrictions.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Approximately two years of teaching experience.
• Broad experience across different year groups is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum.
• Confident classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Experience of teaching in international schools.
