Role overview
For LohnDialog Abrechnungsgesellschaft mbH, we are looking for a payroll accountant in Berlin who can independently manage payroll processing for clients and contribute to the continued modernization of the company’s processes.
What you will do
- Prepare monthly payroll and salary statements on your own responsibility and handle all reporting and certificate-related tasks.
- Provide expert advice to clients and internal colleagues on payroll matters, as well as on wage tax and social security topics.
- Maintain employee master data and payroll movement data on an ongoing basis, and communicate with external offices and authorities such as tax offices, social insurance institutions, and health insurance providers.
- Work through complex payroll cases and perform quality checks in the payroll system.
- Take care of year-end payroll tasks and support audits conducted by the German Pension Insurance.
- Contribute to projects such as onboarding new clients and improving internal processes to help move the business forward.
What we are looking for
- Completed commercial training or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in payroll accounting, along with solid knowledge of wage tax and social security law.
- Confident use of payroll software and a strong willingness to keep expanding professional knowledge.
- Strong analytical thinking, an independent working style, and a pronounced service mindset.
- Genuine interest in modern technologies and a motivation to improve processes through digital solutions.
- Fluent German language skills; written and spoken C1-level proficiency is required.
- A valid work permit for Germany is mandatory.
