Junior Designer

Role overview

CTP is hiring a Junior Designer to contribute across a variety of creative projects. The ideal person brings a strong design sense, attention to detail, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning while helping turn ideas into polished visual work from the first concept through final delivery.

What you'll do

In this position, you’ll work closely with writers, art directors, strategists, brand leaders, and the video team to help shape ideas into finished creative assets. Your work may range from a single visual frame to broader campaign materials across multiple channels. You’ll be expected to keep craftsmanship and consistency in focus while maintaining the larger creative vision.

You’ll create high-quality visuals for digital, print, social, and motion applications while following brand and campaign standards. The role also includes supporting the development and refinement of brand assets such as logos, style guides, and visual systems so that everything stays consistent across all touchpoints. You’ll also handle tasks like adapting files for different formats and platforms, assembling campaign executions, and supporting production-ready output.

A key part of the job is using AI tools for content creation, pre-visualization, workflow support, and post-production work. You should be comfortable exploring new technology and using it practically in the design process.

Qualifications

This role is suited to someone with 0–2 years of experience, including internships, in an agency or design setting. Candidates must be able to commute to the Boston office twice each week, specifically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and must provide an online portfolio to be considered.

You should have a solid grasp of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, photography, and overall visual composition. Strong organization, precise file preparation, and careful attention to detail are important. You should also be able to resize and adapt creative assets for web, mobile, and print, contribute ideas in collaborative settings, accept feedback well, and communicate your work clearly and confidently. A positive mindset and a willingness to keep learning are also essential.

Tools and technology

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud is required, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with After Effects and motion design is considered an advantage. Familiarity with generative AI tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Nano, Flux, Freepik, Runway, and Figma is expected, along with an active interest in experimenting with emerging creative technology.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time onsite role based in Boston, MA. Employees are required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000, depending on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, supportive work environment.
