Junior Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an entry-level Junior Data Analyst who is comfortable working with data, spotting patterns, and turning findings into useful business input. This position is a strong fit for recent graduates or early-career professionals who want practical experience in analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Gather data from several sources, then clean, verify, and structure it so it remains accurate and consistent.
• Study datasets to uncover trends, relationships, and insights that can support business decisions.
• Create recurring reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for leadership and other stakeholders.
• Help build and maintain business intelligence reports and performance measurement dashboards.
• Provide analytical support that helps teams make informed, data-backed decisions.
• Track key performance indicators and assist with monitoring overall business performance.
• Carry out one-off analyses for operational, financial, marketing, and strategic needs.
• Work with different teams to understand what reporting they need and what business questions they want answered.
• Protect data quality and follow data governance requirements.
• Support efforts to automate reporting and improve how data is collected and shared.
• Document data sources, analysis methods, and reporting workflows.
• Keep up with current analytics tools, techniques, and industry practices.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting.
• Solid Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and general data handling.
• SQL knowledge for querying and pulling data is preferred.
• Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Basic familiarity with Python, R, or other analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain findings effectively.
• Ability to handle several tasks at once and work within deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area is preferred.
